Ben is a highly accomplished and dynamic leader with 15 years of experience successfully launching companies, transforming performance, and accelerating growth within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
Ben has led numerous pharma and pharma services companies, and his ability to build teams and systems that integrate commercial, finance, and technology has resulted in numerous healthcare success stories. Ben got his start in pharma at Horizon Therapeutics, where he was the General Manager of the Primary Care business unit and also led strategy and analytics. Ben has founded more than 10 healthcare companies, overseen performance improvements of 5-15x across 10 different pharmaceutical therapeutic areas, pioneered numerous first-to-market tools and innovative commercial models, and led acquisitions of pharma companies, pharma products, and services companies across the healthcare value chain.
Ben also serves on multiple boards across the pharmaceutical, technology, and nonprofit sectors. He holds an MBA, a Master of Engineering Management, and a Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering, each from Northwestern University.
Steve is Chief Commercial Officer at Apollo Care. Steve has extensive commercial leadership experience in boutique firms that work with specialty pharmaceutical companies on commercial strategy development and execution. Steve now applies his deep commercial experience to build best-in-class patient access tools to support industry-leading brands. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Utah and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jeff is the Chief Information Officer and leads the Data, Technology, and Analytics team at Apollo Care. He has 10 years of pharma analytics experience spanning multiple therapeutic areas, with extensive marketing and commercial analytics expertise. Jeff has worked in various data, technology, and analytics roles in the media sector. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Economics and Computing & Information Sciences from Northwestern University.
Ruth is the Chief Legal Officer at Apollo Care. Ruth began her career with experience at two prestigious Wall Street law firms and has since held pivotal roles such as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for publicly traded and privately held companies spanning industries including healthcare, telecommunications, and business-to-business services. In these roles, she represented portfolio companies of private equity and venture capital firms. Ruth has been involved in new business development, product development, project management, M&A, and corporate strategy throughout her career. Ruth graduated from Hunter College Summa Cum Laude as a Thomas Hunter Honors Scholar and from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
Austin is the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy at Apollo Care, overseeing the firm's innovation roadmap. Over his career, Austin has helped launch several successful startups that have focused on improving efficacy of patient access programs; combatting fraud, waste, and abuse of traditional copay programs; and developing new tools and technologies to help manufacturers create strategic access for their products. He has also contributed to developing and managing pharmacy networks, hub programs, and distribution solutions. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.
Jen is the Senior Vice President of Copay Operations and leads Apollo Care’s client support and delivery teams. Jen is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience in client support and delivery across various industries, with the last six years specifically focused on specialty pharma. At Apollo Care, Jen has leveraged her strategy consulting expertise to create unique client operational environments and build industry-leading sales operations teams. Jen is a certified public accountant and earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Blaire is Vice President of Business Development at Apollo Care. Blaire started her career in the pharmaceutical industry in 2007 with Victory Pharma as a sales rep where she won multiple President’s Club awards. In 2012 she joined Horizon Pharma as a sales rep, but quickly transitioned to a patient access role after recognizing the importance and value of putting patients first. At Apollo Care, Blaire works with the team to develop tools that enable clients to create strategies that support the patient while also balancing profitability to create sustainable programs. Blaire holds a Bachelor of Arts in both Communication and Psychology from the University of Kansas.
Amy is Vice President of Hub Services at Apollo Care. Amy has diverse expertise across various industries and roles, including sales at AstraZeneca and leading operational and commercial teams at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company. Amy now applies her experience to implement transformative operational strategies at the Apollo Care Hub to improve patient access. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Jen is Vice President of Human Resources and Business Operations and is responsible for talent acquisition & development, compensation planning, employee relations, culture, engagement, and acts as an inclusive resource for Apollo Care. Jen has over 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Business Operations across different industries, including startups, nonprofits, retail, consulting, and financial services. Jen received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University. She is passionate about serving within her community and is an active Board Member with the Glen Ellyn Infant Welfare Society.
